Jimmy Carter

Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, was in office from 1977-1981. Dedicated to mediating international conflict, he encouraged reconciliation between Egypt and Israel with the signing of the Camp David Accords. This, in addition to other significant accomplishments, earned Carter the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002.
