Rep. Walter Jones

Walter Jones, Congressman (R-North Carolina), House Armed Services Committee

Walter Jones has represented the North Carolina 3rd district (Greenville and the eastern part of the state) since 1995. He represents a district with many major military bases and serves as a member of the House Armed Services Committee. He sponsored the War Crimes Act that was signed into law in 1996. He is currently a co-sponsor of a House resolution asserting that it is an impeachable offense for a U.S. president to launch any military action without explicit congressional authorization.

In 2004 he was named the #1 congressperson in a Capitol Hill staff survey to figure out which representative is nicest. We will test him to see if he is still nice.
